Leading Online Tutoring Firm, Grad Coach, Launches Innovative Student Advice Podcast

Grad Coach, a popular provider of 1-on-1 online tutoring to business, management and leadership postgraduate students, has taken a bold step into the podcasting arena by launching Grad Coach Radio. The podcast episodes provide plain-language, actionable advice and recommendations for postgraduate students, particularly those in the business, management and leadership field (for example, MBA students).

Beyond its popular online tutoring services, Grad Coach is well known for its blog, which provides extensive, detailed posts covering various matters including assignment writing and presentation, exam preparation and dissertation planning. However, as Grad Coach founder, Derek Jansen, explains, students are oftentimes too busy to spend time reading these lengthy posts. “Accordingly, we developed Grad Coach Radio so that students could consume the content on the go – whether that’s in the traffic, at the gym, or while preparing dinner,” says Jansen.

The podcast has been launched with three initial pilot episodes, including “5 Essential Tools For Writing Assignments,” “How To Reduce Your Word Count Without Losing Marks” and “The 4 Attributes of Rock-Solid Arguments.” The shows are all under 20 minutes each and are designed to be easy to understand and consumed by students on the move. Grad Coach Radio has initially launched on iTunes, Stitcher and Soundcloud. This means that the show is available for users on any device, including Apple, Android and PC.

Looking forward, Grad Coach is in the process of developing a free online course titled “Dissertation Bootcamp,” which will provide a practical guide for students embarking on their dissertation or thesis. “We’re also planning to build Grad Coach TV, our YouTube channel, quite substantially in 2018,” says Jansen.
